Love is always the answer. Depends what the question is.

I guess it's possible that love is the answer. Hmmm.
Popular music says so, and that's good enough for me.

Do you have a social life? Do you have friends? Even if you're not happily married with perfect little children, friendship can bring tremendous purpose to your life.

Awesomeness isn't a purpose. It is destiny.

I guess ineffable awesomeness just comes so naturally to me that I didn't think of it.

Yeah, some people simply are awesome. It's not really something we strive for.

Although maybe the purpose isn't being awesome; perhaps the purpose is recognizing that you're awesome.

I do have friends and kinda have a social life, it's more a case of I'd rather not. What I mean is, I consider them all a little immature and even when I'm out with them I tend to feel like I'd rather not be ha.
Yeh I'm sure that sounds strange but that's the reality of it.

Or helping others to recognize their awesomeness.

Perhaps, but I have everything I could possibly need to live comfortably, so what's missing?
Depression isn't about having your needs met. If that is what it is then it's about the physiology and biochemistry of your brain. If every single day you are just going through the motions of life and waiting for it to hurry up end...that's concerning.

Or maybe you just need a hobby? If you're in a stable position maybe you need some spice in your life -- if you have the means you could change your job to something more inspiring or philanthropic? Or it could be as simple as adding a morning run to get the endorphins going. Or manufacture a better purpose.
No, it has to be clinical depression.

It must be, if an expert psychiatrist like you can diagnose it based on a few sentences from someone you've never met! Lord, I hope no one ever takes you seriously.

That's exactly why I created the Campaign of Awesome.

No risk of that.
