Human eyes are a delicacy and it's not like Geordie was using them.

Delicacy? I wonder if you could ask a replicator for a human liver. And if you can would that count as cannibalism? This could save lives and allow the Hannibal Lecters of society to be reintegrated!

I bet the Feds have very strict replicator controls to stop such hijinks. However I'm sure there's non-Federation replicators out there that will let you make a whole roast panda if you want.

So potentially denying a cannibal his sustenance and prompting him to find a live source is preferable to that person eating synthesized livers? Actually, I'd believe it.

Me too. But first before we let him out to free range we imprison him in a rehab colony until we believe him that he's only ever going to make friends with salad from now on.

That's the same argument for how prostitution stops rape.

Only if you believe someone forcing a water tap to give them water constitutes a rape of it.

I don't believe in the argument personally, but I've heard it a couple times, although I think once that it might have been a long winding joke by THEBILLMURRAY... Or I am I mixing up something else with his diatribe about getting the Staypuft Marshmellowman laid on shore leave.

So... having sex with holograms of people you know.... right on and funny.
Using a replicator to eat a liver... loony bin for you!

Re: anyone else APPRECIATE chakotay's ethnic bits?

It wouldn't actually be human liver.

but at some point, someone would have to figure out what a human liver authentically tastes whe they're programming the replcator...

Of course you could order human liver, and they replicate something that looks like human liver but after one bite you discover that it tastes just like cat shit smells.

It's a teaching moment.

Re: anyone else APPRECIATE chakotay's ethnic bits?

As soon as some Lon Suder type killed a real person to eat their real liver and they discovered his cache of blackmarket replicator programs for replicated liver there would be mass hysteria about what people were resequencing molecules into.

Re: anyone else APPRECIATE chakotay's ethnic bits?

Imagine security making lists?

Bajoran Deputy to Odo: "Here's a list of of people who replicated dildo's that could be used as a blunt instrument to bludgeon someone, and here's another list of people who replicated dildos that could be used as a shank to stab someone."
