The Gorn on ST-Enterprise was awful. They should have used this one as the base and did just a little CGI on his mouth (like lips and tongue instead of fixed jaw).

The Gorn in the animation of the game they were playing on the other hand was great.

If they ever re-do TOS again, they should have a side option where that thing is digitally inserted.
