They should have let him say "shit" after "We're getting too old for this". They could always bleep it.

OK I know it's irritating the the novels and video games always make the Gorn bad guys, but this commercial was sheer awesomeness.

Hey, if Shatner can't be in the new movie, this is the next best thing. Great job.

Meanwhile, back in the Prime Universe... ( ... or is this what Kirk was doing while he was trapped in that cabin in the Nexus during ST: Generations ... playing video games with a Gorn?)

Seriously, this is awesome ... great commercial! Shatner is awesome!

That's a great ad. It's too bad the game is going to be terrible.

It'll be a decent enough third person shooter as long as you're not the type that gets hung up if it doesn't match the ST universe in your head in exacting detail.

I'm not usually one to get hung up in the details as long as a game is fun.
But, from what I've seen so far...,
My 'TOS-gut' is telling me I'm probably not the demographic this game is aiming for.

The Gorn just seem too far off from the 'norm', and as an older Trek nerd, I guess that does make a difference.

I'm 42, been a fan since 1975 and this looks like it'll be a blast. Not really so concerned if the Gorn are far removed from the norm, I've massaged many Trek inconsistencies that were just as bad over the years.

It's one thing to 'massage' Trek inconsistencies...

But this seems too much like I'm going to have to invite it out for dinner, pay though the nose, do ALL the massaging and then sneak out in the morning before it wakes up...

I guess I'm getting too old for all that drama.

This reminds me of when there was a Star Wars game featuring "Trandoshans" but they didn't look like movie Trandoshans.
