Well not very shocking, he couldn't even read Morrison's script correctly.

The guy is a survivor.

Which means that he does the most important thing a comic book artists can do.

He gets his pages in on time.

His art on "Justice League" has been stellar...and surprised me big time. I actually much prefer his art over Jim Lee's on that book.
It was a only a couple issues until Reis took over, but man did I agree. I would actually say that I preferred his work in that short span to anything that Lee did during his run.

I didn't really plan to pick up Action any more, really. I've been trying to trim some books. I'm not even planning to pick up Morrison's finale tomorrow through combination of having too many books already and not giving a crap any more. But that's a topic I already went over at length. I'll only need one Superman book, and that's going to be Unchained for sure.

I liked his RIP art quite a bit. His Joker scenes were especially effective. I don't think he's much of a writer, though. Detective Comics is better without him writing it.

Sword of Sorcery #6 (last issue?)
Constantine #1 (maybe)

The way the Dark line has been axed makes me hesitant to go monthly with Constantine. I was reading that whole sub line only to slowly have them yanked out from under me.

I was worried something like that would happen once the Vertigo line was slashed. The whole reason Vertigo started was to provide space for the niche comic--now all the titles have been mainstreamed and have to duke it out with the heavy hitters.

No it wasn't. It was a part of DC editorial lead by Karen Berger that decided they didn't want to play in the DC sandbox and took many of the horror related characters with them.

As opposed to under Vertigo where nobody did anything with Animal Man after his first book ended and where you had two mediocre volumes of ST after it was cancelled under Millar?

It's truly amazing how readers wax nostalgically for Vertigo when they did a disservice for many of these characters.

Okay. I guess I stand corrected.

Today: Nightwing and Red Hood (for the Robin stuff), Action, Wonder Woman. Thinking about Katana, but just not convinced.

Andy Diggle has indeed left "Action Comics" citing "professional reasons" as the reason. Uh-oh. I wonder who will replace him on the book?

Tony Daniel is confirmed as writer (big surprise there). DC is so predictable.

^ You're bang on. Daniel will be taking over writing duties...so that means I'm dropping the book after today.

Diggle wasn't enough to keep me around. I wanted to like his Constantine stuff more than I did. Daniel's a no-starter as writer (although I suppose, like anyone else, he could get better - artists-turned-writer have to suffer their learning curve in public.)
