Fair enough. But it just seemed more blatant and obvious here. Maybe precisely because it had already happened on the same show.

Just like when you first watched Babylon 5, the method of arc construction and setting up plot points to pay off later was new and exciting and caught you off guard, whereas when JMS did the exact same thing on Crusade, it was clunky and obvious because it was the exact same technique.
