R.I.P. Alvin Lee

Rock Guitarist Alvin Lee, 68, Dies from complications following a routine surgical procedure.

With out a doubt this is one of the best guitar performances ever.

A possessed guitarist indeed.

I don't know who he is, but "complications following a routine surgical procedure" is probably near the bottom of my list of ways to die!

Long before Van Halen, Vai, Malmsteen etc, he was the superfast guitarist, though some felt that his speedy virtuosity and technique was at the expense of feel. They were, of course, quite wrong. RIP sir.

That's how we know we're old. Rock stars are dying of natural causes.
