A follow-up on the Opera/Photobucket issue:

Although I'm not claiming that it is, it appears to be fixed. From http://my.opera.com/community/forums...pl?id=13859432:

photobucketroz wrote:
Even though Opera isn't supported, we fixed this issue last week! It broke again with the browser changes that Opera made, and then we fixed it again. The Photobucket Support Team has been pushing to get Opera back on the supported list, we'll see.

And yes... we have a lot of passionate and vocal users on our forums with the new site coming out

I'm subscribing to this post. If you are seeing Photobucket.com, beta.Photobucket.com or linked content from Photobucket not working please post. I'll see what I can do to get it fixed.

So, they removed themes? Or am I just not finding the setting?

I have had trouble with it as well; I liked the old version (I sound like an old man, lol)

Yep. I've since transferred everything over to ImageShack, because it looks like PB is sticking with this arrangement.

I've had more problems with PB since they made those changes. What a pain!

Upgraded from a bucket to a shack, have you?

Which brings to mind the Your Yorkshiremen sketch from Monty Python.

My biggest bitch is that you can't upload from a URL.

Why the hell not? And to say "it's coming" for a couple of months...how hard could it be to do something that you were previously doing?

Re: Photobucket beta gripe

Ugh, this is why I'll never use photobucket. It never seemed stable for hotlinking anyway with all the constant changing and upgrading. Too often I see pictures on forums that weren't posted long ago with the "sorry, this image is blahblahblah" message instead of the image.

I don't host galleries anyway, so if I want to post a pic I'll use imgur, tinypic, imgbox or DWteam. If I absolutely need to post several images at once, I use imagebam's gallery feature. The only downside of imagebam is you can't sneak around the thumbnail coding to link the fullsize pics or you get a broken picture icon. (I do at least :P)

Re: Photobucket beta gripe

Been checking into my Photobucket account as of late and it seems as if they've ironed out some of the issues on it. It's running smoother than it has in ages. Might look into another image site if things start to go south again though, just to be on the safe side.

I've noticed that too. The beta version isn't nearly as buggy as it was before, and that's a plus.

Definitely. It looks like they got some people in there now who are working on making sure things work well site wise. Not that they didn't have it before, but things are working a lot better .

Re: Photobucket beta gripe

It's rather odd that now the image tags are wrapped in a URL tag instead of just plain image tags.

Re: Photobucket beta gripe

My apologies for bumping this, but I'm curious about something that perhaps I can get help with (I've already looked at the site FAQ). Has anyone tried the Plus upgrade? I got a message saying I'm apparently "close" to exceeding the 10 GB limit on a free account even though I admittedly have a ton of uploads and have never had this sort of thing before. I'd say that's most likely related to adding new thread bomb pics periodically, but is the upgrade worthwhile? Would it be better to delete some of my older pics or consider an alternative?
