What if somebody told him that in the new timeline, Reading Rainbow becomes the most beloved show throughout the Galaxy? I feel that would alter his opinion.

trekmate should be the name of klingon-ridge ribbed condoms.

also was it really neccessary to put "aka Geordi la forge" up there?

Burton is on to something. I just received a letter from Paramount demanding that I return all DVDs, books, toys, clothing and any other items which specifically address, reference, or infer anything regarding Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager. A local collection center/incinerator will be established in my town within the next 10 days. They can have my Geordi LaForge action figure when they pry it from my cold, dead, hand!

A great April Fools prank would be to alter the TrekBBS homepage to show "JJ Abrams Star Trek" as the only Trek related forum on the site.

Get to work hackers!!!!!!

You know, I think some of the TNG cast would be much less bitter if those shitty TNG movies were never made!

I’m disappointed, quite frankly, that his timeline negates the existence of Next Gen. I think that’s silly.
Dukhat wrote: View Post
It also seems that Burton is speaking tongue in cheek. He's fully aware that TNG still exists.
As a franchise, yeah. I think his statement is pretty face-value in regards to the rest, though.

Not so much him, but I'm baffled at the fans (not sure how many there are) who seem to have missed the words "alternate reality" in that pivotal bridge scene.

Trek being fiction, if hell freezes over and someone picks up Prime Trek right where it left off, they can ignore Abrams' version easily enough.
But why would they need to? Would Romulus and old Spock really be that important to the story?

Levar, Levar, Levar (I'm addressing you as I'm sure you frequent the forum). TNG isn't erased. It's in a different timeline.

If TNG is erased than so is the universe that gave us Sela. You know, that show you were on. Don't make me school you on multiple universes. YOU DIRECTED AND APPEARED IN AN EPISODE OF VOYAGER ALL ABOUT ONE!
Next thing you know he'll be saying midichlorians erased the Force.

Some people are just unteachable.

Also: Who are trekmate.org and where did they come from? I've never even heard of them before, and it looks as if hardly anyone else has either.
I've never heard of them either but little freebie stat sites like that are hardly ever accurate.

Out of curiosity I just plugged in the domains of a few sites I know very well and the information is completely wrong. Especially when you compare the same sites on a site like Zoominfo and discover that they have an annual revenue of over 10 million dollars.
