Yes sir! I will check it out later today. Promise! I don't use that account much any more so it's been quite a while since I checked it. A very long while actually.

You old timers must have some kind of metaphysical connection or something... How do you all manage to gravitate to a thread like this?
We've been around long enough to know where to find each other. First lounge. Then Misc. After that skulk around in our favourite hang outs.

One thing's for sure: when I first joined the board in 2001 I had no idea it'd turn into twelve years of fun and depravity. I figured it'd be some message board I visited every once in a while to talk Trek.

Man, was I ever wrong.
Indeed. Though my posting has been incredibly erratic over the years after the cancellation of ENT, I've always come back. I have a goal now I think to reach 10 000 posts, something everyone though I'd do ages ago. I was dubbed the next likely Fleet Admiral, the way I posted. Then... things happened. And life. I've got just over 200 posts until I'm rid of the Vice, something I could have managed in a day in 2004. Not any more though. Not any more.

For someone who was so prolific, I don't even know who you are. That's terribly embarrassing.

I remember you (or the user name to be honest), but we've not exactly chatted, if I may put it that way.

Ulva was one of the favorite posters in the old Enterprise forum. I don't think there was one solitary person over there who disliked her and she always had something fun and interesting to contribute to a discussion.

She seems like a great person.

I don't remember much of the Enterprise forum, I participated in the running cometary threads each week. But that stopped when I move here because I was then an hour behind.

I still voted/reviewed and all that but never paid much attention to who was what. I also didn't socialize much in those days.

Then when Enterprise went off the air, I left the board completely for like two years.

Don't be. You can't possibly know and/or remember everyone around here.

Well, actually no. It's me playing with a word, nothing else. There are several words for wolf in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, one being ulv. Hang an a on that (ulva) and it becomes a female wolf, the way a child would feminise something. So no lettuce or body parts or even that Scottish island named Ulva.

Nice to meet you all.

Re: Any old timers still around?

^^ you'd have to add a letter, teacake. Unless you mean Ulna which is a bone in your forearm.

Ulna, being named after a female bear IRL I much appreciate your choice of name And it's about time there were a few female wolves in Nordic Mythology after Geri & Freki who afaik are male specimens.

Ack, the Norse mythology, of which we really know so little. But yeah, I'd be happy to enrich it. If Marvel can mess with it, so can anyone else.

Re: Any old timers still around?

And I'd hate to change topics from such an engrossing conversation, but I was talking to a friend of mine last night, and I told him about the time spider1 got super fucking drunk and dropped the "banne" on the admiral's lounge. And how another lounge moderator (I wanna say ... Captain Ice?) stayed up for hours un-banne-ing us. Good times.
