Re: Project: Potemkin, a Star Trek Fan Film
FRIDAY: Table Set Up -- We'll be having a larger monitor this year as well as more episodes available for fans. We'll be accepting donations to help fund the construction of our next two sets: CORRIDOR and BRIG both of which will appear in upcoming episodes. CLOSING TIME -- We'll be shooting a vignette for PROJECT: POTEMKIN which will be featuring as many people appropriately attired who are attending the convention. Please come dressed in your best late 23rd century (i.e. Classic Star Trek movies) costumes (ahem the "mountie" suits). Jackets are not required. We will be shooting the episode Friday, editing it together on Saturday, and showing it on Sunday. If you want to be a part of this production, come and join us! SATURDAY AND SUNDAY -- we're planning on showing the following: Our official public convention release of: ARCHWAY THE DEVIL IN THE DETAILS As well as the SNEAK PREVIEWS of: THE NIGHT THE STARS CAME FROM THE SKY (Teaser Only) DARKNESS (Virtually Complete) ASHES (Virtually Complete) BEACH TOWEL (Virtually Complete) and, as stated earlier, CLOSING TIME. We're excited about our plans, and hope you are, too. For more information about TrekTrax, visit their website: http://www.trektrax.org/ |

Re: Project: Potemkin, a Star Trek Fan Film
"Archway" is now official released on-line. "Devil in the Details" is up next. All that's missing is the music, and Neal Manning is scoring this one for us. The teaser for "The Night the Stars Fell from the Sky" is undergoing sound and scoring by Steve Gallant at this time. |

Re: Project: Potemkin, a Star Trek Fan Film
Bob Reed is editing "The Lucky One" -- this short vignette is our first attempt at a green screen episode. We're just wanting to take a stab at this process. We're likely to build a diagnostic bed for a small sickbay set in the near future. |

Re: Project: Potemkin, a Star Trek Fan Film
Act I is now being finalized by Rick Foxx, and we may show a rough cut of it as well (but no promises!). Randall Landers will be working on the green screen scene (a cavern) for Act II. The motion tracking is proving to be a burden, but progress is being made. RH Barr continues to work on the VFX for Act III, IV and the Tag. We're hoping for a summer release for this 90 min production. The second season consists of 10 vignettes, nine of which are already filmed, seven of which are already edited, and four of which are virtually completed. We'll be releasing them in production order beginning late this summer and through the first quarter of next year. The third season begins with two vignettes ("We Few..." and "Red Sky at Night") and then we intend to focus on filming two or three full-length episodes this summer. We're also always looking for volunteers to help with VFX. If you're capable of using Lightwave or Blender, please contact us. Our productions are not VFX-laden affairs, but we always need a few things done here or there. RH Barr would like some help with his work for "Night," in fact. Lastly, we are always looking for cast members, especially when we go on-location to shoot. We expect to shoot in NE Atlanta, SW Georgia (Fort Gaines) and Mexico Beach, FL, this summer. We cannot provide transportation, food or lodging, but we do set a pretty decent table for lunch. If you're interested, please contact us. |

Re: Project: Potemkin, a Star Trek Fan Film
While at TrekTrax, you'll be able to meet and greet folks from Phase 2, Starship Farragut, Starship Valkyrie, Starship Reliant to name a few. And, on Friday night, Project: Potemkin will be shooting "Closing Time," a vignette set in a space bar, and we're inviting everyone to join in on the fun. Just wear a Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country appropriate uniform/costume, and we'll put you in the vignette (signed release required)! We're hoping to see everyone there next weekend! |
