Not that I recall it being too different. I guess it was Dafydd ab Hugh's choice to vary his storytelling style when adapting his own manuscript? (It wasn't one of the credited George Truett adaptations.) I do recall enjoying Rene Auberjonois' narration. And the novel itself.
