Yes, Maurice has a rough cut of a teaser trailer.

Re: "Polaris"

I think our draft trailer is unique because it's actually about people and not pew pew spaceships. Plus it's got one helluva great closing line.

How's that for a tease?

Speaking of teases, does everyone here know that Dennis and Co. will be showing ~7 minutes of the show at Farpoint this coming weekend?

Will anyone be releasing a teaser of the teaser trailer?

Really nice! I love the fly-by clips. The ship looks great. I do like the change from the traditional flat saucer shape. Curious, and it might have been answered previously, is there any reason for giving the ship a "vertical" look, aside for aesthetics of course.

Re: "Polaris"

Aesthetics, mainly.

At the Farpoint convention in Baltimore, Saturday February 16 (today), at 1:00 PM in the Ridgely 2 room we'll be showing a seven minute preview of Polaris. This is mainly possible due to the talents and indefatigable efforts of Maurice, as well as Michael Struck of NEO f/x and Ralph Miller. What they've done is pretty wonderful.

Best of luck, Dennis. You realise we all feel ownership of this because you belong to us.

Re: "Polaris"

I'm glad you like it - it's a compromise design required to avoid blocking the faces and eye-lines of the actors, and I think it worked out pretty nifty.

Re: "Polaris"

Another frame...

This is a WIP shot which features an unfinished Main Control virtual set. The compositing is crude because it's a placeholder from the rough cut pending completion of the final model and it being properly lit.
