This has been rumored for awhile but it's good to know that it's been confirmed. I'm looking forward to their return.

I hope that's not the case. I quite like Big Finish's back history for them but I don't expect the show to follow suit.

I did heard about that,hope they dont redesigned them,i also heard that they are redesigning the cybermen again.

The Cybermen redesign is official and confirmed. They can be seen in the trailer.

The basic Ice Warrior/Ice Lord design is pretty good, but I'd like to see those clamp hands redesigned.

Strangely enough, the clamp hands are my favourite thing about the look of the Ice Warriors, even though I know it makes them look fake.

Agreed, it makes them unique, because the manacle hands look so out of place compared to the rest of their physiology

They could come up with something that has a similar aesthetic while still being more functional.

Ii always assumed the clamp was a glove, or prosthesis. But yeah, I do hope they don't go with a crazy redesign. The cybermen have always evolved and changed, but the Ice Warriors have pretty much always looked the same.

And you just know they won't be able to resist the urge to show one with its helmet off.

A connection to "Waters of Mars" would be nice too.

And if you look closely, you can see our first look at the Ice Warriors:

The design looks pretty faithful to the original.

I also noticed that one of the other baddies featured in the image looks a heck of a lot like The Trickster from SJA. Hmm...
