Buckaroo Banzai. Turn in your nerd card if you've missed that one.

Yes.
Peter Weller has the distinction of having portrayed the eponymous character in TWO cult classic "sci-fi" movies: RoboCop and Buckaroo Banzai.

It's amazing how many scifi fans haven't seen Weller in Screamers, a better than avg low budget movie loosely based on a Philip K. Dick story. Weller carries the movie which actually has some pretty scary killing machines that come in all shapes and sizes.

Weller always gives me the creeps, but that's due to a childhood trauma.
I was once a very naughty young boy that didn't listen to his parents and saw Robocop secretly. The scene where they shoot his hand off and then shoot him almost to death haunted me for years.

There's a lesson to be learned there!

Weller is naturally creepy though. It's part of his awesomeness.

Last I saw Weller was in the recent Hawaii 5-0 episode he was in. His mecha hands there didn't help with the creepy factor.

I can't believe I forgot that! Screamers was fun. Unfortunately the sequel wasn't.

I once had to do a midnight horror reading at a convention while ROBOCOP was playing (loudly) one room over.

You try competing in volume with ROBOCOP!

Like the Freemasons?
The Illuminati.

Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. In more modern contexts the name refers to a purported conspiratorial organization which is alleged to mastermind events and control world affairs through governments and corporations to establish a New World Order. In this context the Illuminati are usually represented as a modern version or continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati.
The Illuminati is a fantasy creation, one that Robert Orci ironically believes in.
That's what they want you to believe.

I'm looking forward to a great movie about our favorite crew and a super villain. May cannot come soon enough!
