Allegro Non Troppo: the sequence with the starving cat wandering through the bombed-out ruins of its once-happy home chokes me up just thinking about it.

It's the excruciating contrast between the cat's memories of happier days, when it was warm and safe and loved, and its miserable, homeless present that just kills me . . . .

Grave of Fireflies comes to mind. It was just pure, horrific depression.
Now and Then, Here and There makes GOTF seem cheerful by compairison, and the saddest movie for me is Adieu, Galaxy Express 999

Titanic. It honestly made me cry the first time I saw it.
Yeah, but you were probably having your period.

Anyways, movies with animals tug at my sensitive heart strings. Old Yeller, The Incredible Journey, Project X, Turner and Hooch.

Nope, not acceptable. Infraction for trolling, comments to PM.
apologies to all, but it made me laugh.

"Ironweed" with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep. "Blackbird," "Gardens of the Night," "Nonames" with Gillian Jacobs.

Man, I must have anti-sad radar when it comes to seeing movies. I haven't heard of half of these.

Korean movie called Oasis. It's about a mentally handicapped guy and a woman with cerebral palsy.

Does anyone remember that movie Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend? I remember bawling at that movie when I was a young little gaffer.

King Kong. (The original, of course.)

C'mon, tell me you didn't choke up when Kong was dying atop the Empire State Building.
