If she hadn't run screaming, I may have just frozen there and got bit, but thankfully she did. I don't know if I took off after her more in fear or more out of concern for her. Since that day, though, Indiana Jones and I have something in common - I hate snakes!!!

Canada geese do that in some parts of St. Louis county. They came down here one day years ago and never left. It's not uncommon to see them strolling down the sidewalks at a local community college or the empty end of a department store parking lot.

Speaking of golf courses, my Dad was once delayed for about an hour when he was playing golf in Banff National Park because there was a grizzly bear on the next hole. |
