I voted for Orpheus and Eurydice. Seems a natural pairing.

I voted for Acheron and Styx.

I'm in a grim mood today.

Ok, where's the vote to reclassify pluto as a Planet (rather than a minor one)?

^Hey, if you want to put Pluto back in, you also have to count Ceres, Eris, Haumea, Makemake, and possibly hundreds more to be confirmed in the decades ahead.

I find it very funny that this new definition of planet discounts Jupiter.

I voted for Styx and Orpheus, one of which has charmed me with music for years.

I chose Cerberus and Erebus since they seemed like logical companions to Hydra and Nix, respectively.

I voted for Acheron, Cerberus and Persephone. You have to cross the first two to get to him. Persephone was his wife but I like my first two choices better.

I'm tempted to go with them, but I also think Persephone should be paired with Pluto, so I think I'll go with Cerberus and Persephone.

It seems Pluto has the coolest tales associated with them.

There's no need to reclassify anything. The scientific definition of "planet" does not need to be used by everyone.

Re: Help name the moons of Pluto

^^^ I like these suggested names. I think some of them have already been used in the solar system (named asteroids or other moons or craters/geological features).

I don't have an IAU Atlas handy and I'm too lazy to google right now. But I could swear I recall seeing Styx or Orpheus or Persephone or Cerberus somewhere in the solar system already. Maybe it won't matter.
