And I don't mean pop singers.

For a while I was pretty impressed with David Garrett for his violin proficiency, and I guess still am.

But I recently stumbled over Lindsey Stirling and she just blows the guy out of the water with the stuff she does.

Mark King (frontman of Level 42) for his pop & slap bass playing skills.

Even more impressive when you take into account he's left-handed, but learned how to play a right-handed bass.

^ Yngwie Malmsteen is amazing. He plays left-handed guitars right-handed.
I think what sets him apart from other shredders is the classical background.
