Lexa Doig: Lady of the Week #7 (Feb. 2013)

Lexa Doig
("Continuum," "Stargate SG-1," "Andromeda")
Thumbs up= Thumbs down= Thumbs sideways=

Lexa Doig grew up in Toronto. Inspired by shows like "Wonder Woman," "The A-Team" and "The Dukes of Hazzard," she decided to give acting a try. After dropping out of high school in Grade 13 (Ontario Academic Credit year) and working on stage for a few productions including Romeo and Juliet and Arsenic and Old Lace, Doig began to audition for roles in television. When she got a part on William Shatner's "TekWar," she knew then that she had chosen the right profession. Doig is married to actor Michael Shanks.
Continuum: When a group of fanatical terrorists escape their planned execution in 2077 by traveling back in time to 2012, they inadvertently take City Protective Services officer Kiera Cameron with them. Trapped in a more "primitive" past, Kiera infiltrates the local police department to try to track down the terrorists before they change the course of history. She finds herself partnered with Detective Carlos Fonnegra and Alec Sadler, a teenage tech genius who could be Kiera's key to saving the future.

Must be those Asian genes from her mothers side
And I agree that she is very gorgeous..plus smart, funny and sexy.
She has done tons of science fiction over the years.
I think I first saw her in Tekwar. Been a fan of hers since Andromeda myself
Thumbs up, naturally

Here she is in William Shatner's TekWar which aired 19 years ago…

I think that was the first time I saw her too.

UP

Never seen Andromeda. Anyone have an opinion about it? Worth the time?

It's down the list of shows I'm playing catchup on. Knee deep in SG-1 then Babylon 5 which I've also never seen(except bits here and there), Sliders, Fringe and others.

I gave up on Andromeda halfway through its first season, which I thought was total crap. The general consensus among everyone else is that season 1 is the best and that the rest of the series is total crap. Basically, you're not missing anything.

Yeah, she's great, but I'm mostly thankful that computers are quieter than that.

I've been watching the dvd sets. So far I like it.

Kind of a generic spaceship type show.

Up. Still looks dece judging from clips of her crappy Syfy show which I hadn't even heard of before today.

Oh and Andromeda was dreadful. I watched the first season... and thought there were a couple of bright spots, and I thought the S1 cliffhanger was pretty decent. Halfway through episode 2x02 I gave up forever.
