Re: Star Trek Online Discussion Thread (now free to play!)

The event runs until February 14th, and the actual mission takes about 20 minutes to complete. After that, you're given two ships. A Tier 3 and a Tier 5 Retrofit.

In Honor of the Ambassador, I'm re-watching Yesterday's Enterprise for the first time in decades. It should be fun.

Great idea! I think I will do the same
SF Debris did a deconstruction last week. Which is great timing.

I love his recaps. His Voyager ones are priceless and his Prime Directive rant is epic.

Going to cap later. Impressions: Mission was underwhelming, but the Ambassador looks lovely and she's got a pretty good punch right out of the box.

Any one run into a glitch on the Klingon version of it? I was running the mission, got to the end, when I went to collect it said "Redacted" in the mission box. But it dropped the loot in my inventory.

My Ambassador class was named INVALIDNAME when I got it.

I thought it was a good mission, especially fun if you talked to every single NPC. It is kinda like Doctor Who's "Turn Left" except we get to know what happened to our allies and enemies in this alternate timeline.

I thought it was a fun little mission, love my Ambassador! It's weird to see so many of them around spacedock. It's been a bit since I was in a straight cruiser so I have to readjust. Happy 3 years STO!

While we're at it I'd like to get my hands on a Constellation class.

I know I like mine, I even went and put my character and BOs in TNG uniforms before using it, The reason so many people might be using it is that despite the not as good as a fleet ship thing it is like an assault cruiser with an extra science power so it's a good ship.

You know the lack of the Zhukov-variant in the customization menu makes me wonder if they might release a Z-store version st some point especially seeing as the T5 version is a limited time thing.

I would bet that the Zhukov variant would be a fleet ship skin.

Got that...the second time finishing. The first time, after finishing and warping out, it went back to some old mission objective and made me do most of the mission over again

Daniel Stahl mentioned the following in a dev chat on the test server earlier:

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: Ambassador is headed to Fleet Store - not C-Store from what I heard.

Also, other bits of news:

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: The term "Season 8" is dead to me - the next update in May is bigger than a season.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: Denise is coming back in March to work on more missions with us.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We will consider fused gear along with other crafting ideas when we re-look at crafting in a future update.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: Crafting is not in the May update - it is after.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We are considering Risa for a future summer event.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: New UI that Thomas the Cat is working on is a reskinning and reLCARsing of existing UI - improving - not replacing.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We are going to support your choice UI coloring.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: Andorian Ship in Feb. Andorian ship might be ship(s).

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We may have multiple ships under you command in space when we hit Fleet Admiral ranks.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We are redoing our Character Creator for May - almost completely remade.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: We are going to be adding more costume options for the next big update - more than normal.

<Dev> Oaks@dstahl: Cryptic Designed Ships are coming - some in May.
