MLB I wasn't talking about the age difference, I was talking about when you knew someone as a kid and then suddenly you're dating them.

It's our only stab at time travel.

Timebandits made me afraid of walls.

Sliders made me afraid of open Sky.

You'd think that doorways and thresholds would be make me feel safe?

Then along came Lost Room.

But that memory is, let's face it, pretty darn old. DS9 premiered twenty years ago. That's nearly half my lifetime -- and a considerably larger fraction for a lot of other people on this forum. Is it healthy to let our perceptions in the present be so dominated by such antiquated memories?
Wow, thanks, Christopher, you really know how to hurt an old man who just turned 62.

But presumably none of us knew Scarlett Pomers or Hana Hatae back then. We just saw recorded images of them projected on our televisions. Nor does any of us have any realistic prospect of hooking up with them. We're just looking at more recent pictures of them.
I'm friends on Facebook with a girl I used to babysit 20 years ago. When she was literally a newborn baby. She is now pursuing modeling. It is very weird indeed to see her post pictures on Facebook.

I would have zero problems dating one of her friends. Because I didn't know her friends when they were babies.

So. When does the Star Trek themed nursing home open? All of us need somewhere to go.

Not at all. We're all travelling towards the future, aren't we?

Our deep seated belief in magic Trek medicine being almost upon us will keep us from such a fate.

I wonder how much they paid those people to be trapped on a boat with fans fawning over them for days.

Re: The Hottest woman on Voyager was Naomi Wildman

Rapid happenstance can easily create a grand mother in her early 40s.

besides are we talking about Scarlett's Gammy now in her 50s or 15 years ago when her grand daughter was on Voyager?

In the case of the latter, you might still be in the sleazy strike zone so you'd have to ply yourself up against her Great Grand Gammy instead.
