Re: David Foster reveals his plans for a new Star Trek series?
The "ongoing fan funded series with CBS' blessing" idea seems to me to be the same kind of wishful thinking that OGaM had - that it would become some kind of extra on Star Trek DVD sets. As far as I'm concerned, Prime Trek's true continuation is the ongoing novels.

People should avoid that like singing 'I will survive' in reality TV singing contests. |

True ST style series, not Abrams' crap. |

Re: David Foster reveals his plans for a new Star Trek series?
Star Trek is a good overlap with their early-adopter tech enthusiast streaming customer base (most likely a better fit than HBO or Showtime) and the famous brand name will give them positive PR for their overall original content development efforts.
