I'm trying to come up with my next ship's name. Ideas I've come up with are:

La Grange
Aurora
Ecliptic
Penumbra
Radiant
Resolve
Solar Wind
Zenith

Any suggestions or preferrences from this list?

My ship (I've only had one so far, as I don't play that much) is the U.S.S. George'n'Gracie.

I just named my new ship: the Brava Centauri. It was named in honor of an extinct attraction at Epcot.

The whales from Trek 4. It was a ship from my script I submitted to TNG when it was on the air. But they made the episode where the crew de-evolves into salamanders and monkies and stuff instead of mine so I just pulled the name out of my script for STO. lol

My ship names were:

1) USS Ranger (Centaur class)
2) USS Agamemnon (Constitution class with Excalibur warp nacelles)
3) USS Saratoga (Frakenstein-esque Heavy Cruiser, so called because it was made of an assortment of parts from each class)
4) USS Hermes (Excelsior class)
5) USS Pioneer (Venture class)
6) USS Michelangelo (Delta Flyer class)
7) USS Hyperion (Sovereign class, also the ship currently in use)

New Ambassador class: U.S.S. Lagrange. It's a bit obscure, but it's a reference to the film/book 2010: Odyssey Two.

My Ambassador became the USS Charles Darwin.

All the names you guys are using sound good. Here's a couple of mine. I'll post the rest later...

Excelsior Refit: USS War Wagon (from the John Wayne movie)
Vor'cha Refit: KDF Deathweaver (from a ADnD relic sword)

I generally use:

- City names for Cruisers.
- Scientists for Science ships (not necessarily Real Life - there's a few Trek references).
- Soldiers for Escorts (not necessarily RL)
- Fiction authors for shuttles (excluding certain types)
- My freighter is the USS Corinthian
- Runabouts are named after rivers (in line with canon)
- My timeship shuttle is the USS Aeon
