Gave up on Rand. Too dull and stodgy. May revisit at later date. |

Re: What are you reading?
Half through Swamplandia. If I wasn't reading it as a group read on LibraryThing I would probably have given up on it. I have only read a couple of chapters of Ned Wynkoop and the Lonely Road from Sand Creek by Louis Kraft . Good so far and I think it will be even better when he meets the Cheyenne. I have started reading Untouchable by Mulk Raj Anand. It is about a day in the life of a young Untouchable man in India.

![]() After seeing the new Hobbit movie I've decided to read the book again. Think I last read it when I was around 10 years of age. How time fly's by. |

Re: What are you reading?
(Do introduce yourself in the Stalkin' my peeps-thread stickied right here in Misc!) I never read that as a kid and when my (little) sister found out she threw her copy at me and made me read it -I was thirty at the time and had great trouble trying to understand what the big deal was!

Re: What are you reading?
Anyway,I just finished 2001: A Space Odyssey yesterday, LOVED it. Currently I am reading Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass (not that it's a very difficult book but less captivating than some others) and Erik Larson's The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that changed America. Haven't read more of those in two days though, mainly because I've been busy and tired and when I'm like that I need a very easy book to read as well . So am thinking about starting a third book and leaving the other 2 for when I am not so tired. Last edited by Felidae; January 22 2013 at 12:19 PM. |

![]() Last night I finished the section where Gandalf artfully brings the entire dwarf company into Beorn's house. I can't wait to see that on film.
