I'd steer clear of Sunnydale, especially the High School.

Delta Vega. The real one, not the one near where Vulcan used to be.

So which fictional places do you think are best to avoid and why?

Cabot Cove - High Murder Rate
Midsomer County - High Murder rate
It isn't Cabot Cove that is dangerous, it is simply one of the residents. If Jessica Fletcher left the town the murders followed her and Cabot Cove became quiet and peaceful. Why the residents don't gather up their pitchforks and run Jessica out of the town is beyond me.

Also most of the people who get murdered in Midsomer County are stuckup toffs or other disagreeable people who have it coming. It is reasonably safe for Mr and Mrs Average to live in the county and, in fact, the high murder rate actually improves the quality of life in the county.

If a lifetime's worth of New Yorker cartoons and the original Bedazzled are to be believed, Heaven is a rather hellishly boring spot.

That's like saying if your on Holiday and Poirot is around, be elsewhere.

Yep, if I saw him I would get out quick (unless the murder had already happened).

Miami - more serial killers there than the rest of the world combined. Fortunately they keep turning up dead.

And there's this island that looks just like Oahu that is in no particular location and occasionally vanishes. Try not to crash on it.

^Yes but those are actual places, not fictional.
I think of them as fictional places when a meteor lands of them - fictional versions of the real places where the meteor hasn't landed yet.

The universe of Men in Black.

Arrogant bastards trying to "protect" humanity - they just think people are stupid, that's all. And those memory-flash things probably cause brain damage or some shit like that.
