Trip: Deleted Dialogue

I've just watched S3 episode "E2" for the first time in ages, and there appears to be a couple of lines of dialogue delivered by Trip which, although you can clearly see his lips moving, are inexplicably silenced. It occurs when Trip is chatting to his "son" Lorian at time index 15:13 (on NTSC discs). The other components of the sound mix remain intact, e.g. background sound FX. I've never noticed this before, does anyone have any information? Encoding error, or editorial decision perhaps?
