I read them quickly because I didn't warm to them. In contrast I deliberately took ages to read the last Dresden and even then went into withdrawal afterwards.
You want your next fix.

How sad are we? Living from one Ben to the next Jim and so on. Paul Hoffman's third Thomas Cale book is out at the end of January so I suppose that's something.

I can give it up any time I like...

I finished up the first Kate Daniels novel, Magic Burns last night and I loved it. Kate was a great character, she was sarcastic without being annoying and she kicked ass, two things I love in these kinds of characters. I love the world that was created around her, it was definitely one of the more unique urban fantasy universes I've come across yet. My rating: 5/5

Sorry, Technobuilder, it's OK we're up to speed. Bob summoned me from the Nevernever when he found it. Will you be interested in Jim's new steampunk venture? I have to say I didn't warm to the Codex Alera very much.
No problem! I just wish Jim hadn't gotten sick this book tour and we'd gotten 2 more Q&A videos.

I'm sorry you didn't seem to warm to Codex Alera, but I rather enjoyed the world of Carna and wouldn't mind going back some day. Of course, as always, it was the characters and their relationships that got me. Max was the best friend a guy could have. Ehren, all at once unassumingly and yet scarily capable. The Carnim, The Icemen. I'd love to go back in a hundred and fifty years and see what the world looks like then.

As for the Steampunk Series... I'm game.
I've never been "into" steampunk, but it's a nifty concept and I think I will enjoy whatever Butcher does at this point regardless of genre.

If I had a preference though I'd love to see his Dresden Spin-Off series featuring the Special Collections Division of the Library of Congress. (aka the Dresdenverse Goverment Body Clued-in and Capable of dealing with the Supernatural)

I'm thinking about starting one more UF series, but I can't decide between The Iron Druid Chronicles, the October Daye series, or the Mercy Thompson series. Any advice?

Just wanted to let any The Hollows fans on here know that the newest book in the series Ever After came out today. I'm only on the third book in the series, Every Which Way But Dead, so it'll be a while before I get to that one.
