Apart from that great episode. Anubis is out there again, waiting for someone to come on through while he sits in a frozen body. Sad stuff for the Russian Colonel, especially after Daniel quoted a Russian saying back at him: "In the kingdom of hope, there is no winter." Obviously things were quite hopeless

Oh and.. Stargate has forever imprinted me. Every time I see anything even faintly egyptian looking, jewelery, dumbass cobra statue in a 2 dollar shop.. I think of the Goa'uld. And I guess I will be thinking of the Goa'uld when I see this stuff for the rest of my life.

A friend of mine had a booklet from the King Tut exhibition we had here last year.. I laughed my head off when I saw it

Icon: Matthew Bennett who played Jared Kane was fantastic. Great presence. And woot, he was BSG's Number Five.

Quite a horrifying episode, first contact wipes out most of the planet with the resulting war. I would think there would be some major inquiries from earth and possible suspension of first contact situations as a result but I doubt that will happen. And really earth is not going to stop looking for better weapons.. it's rather hilarious that trek's mandate was to seek out new life and civilizations and stargate's was to seek out new weapons and technology.

I'm not overly fond of trapped in the game scenarios (other than Southpark's WOW ep LOL) and this one while perfectly okay was one of those eps I'll be unlikely to rewatch.

Avatar was meant to tie into an SG-1 video game that was being developed for the X-Box (though cancelled before release). In fact, throughout the episode when everyone outside is monitoring Teal'c's progress in the simulator, the screen which shows a CG image of what's happening in the game from Teal'c's perspective is actual footage from the game.

Affinity:That was a cracker of an episode! I've been wanting to see how Teal'c did in his new apartment and wondering about Carter's cop and this episode focused on both those things as well as introducing an enemy. Great stuff.

Convenant: Oh those nasty rogue people, I hope they explore them a bit more, get some closure. Otherwise they are getting a bit too boogie man, plopped into plots for mystery. Still, good ep and also tragic about Brian (who I thought was Alec's lover until they brought in the bit about Brian's family).

Really? They don't look anything alike! (yes I know this is television). I thought they had grown up together as friends. The Trust sure worked poor Brian over, he was terrified that they would go after his family

Oh and Sindatur I have Charlie Jade now. At some point I'm going to do a power watch of it since it's only one season. Not this week though, I've got overseas relatives the whole week, messing with my viewing choices LOL

On them being brothers, yea, they don't look alike, but, something in the dialogue made me believe they were brothers...I think

When you finish, I'll locate my thread (not a reliable episode by episode review), and dig you up the link someone posted for me to the outline for Season 2, if there had been one (though, as I previously mentioned, the S1 Finale works as a Series finale in the same way that... Oh, wait, that might be a slight indication of how S1 ends, forget I mentioned this part)
