We actually already have been told who Alice Eve's playing, I won't spill it in case you don't want to be spoiled, but, if you look around, you'll find it easily enough (IMDB has the correct listing for her character)

They even pay homage to some reversed shots from TOS (the photo of Pine and Eve appears reversed--like a mirror image). Who says Abrams and co. don't care about the aesthetics of the original?

Edit: my error. He's just changed the part of his hair from the last movie. A quick glance made it seem like some of those shots (one of McCoy comes to mind) from TOS where the film is clearly reversed. Oh well.

No matter the character Alice Eve IS playing, the photo looks SO MUCH like Dr. Dehner. Before I read that STID is not WNMHGB, I thought it was. The scene with Cumberbatch in the cell also mirrors the scene with Gary Mitchell on Delta Vega.

What if Porthos after suffering the transporter accident has somehow rematerialized as John Harrison. Only he is also now lactose intolerant. And his dog/human DNA gives him powers.

So he's back to have his vengeance for not being able to eat his favorite cheese snacks again.

These previews are looking great, and I'm really getting excitied about seeing this new movie in May 2013. I just hope that all the fans will support the film, and go see it not ONCE, but MANY, MANY Times. I would like to see Paramount, make so much money with this movie, that they will be more than glad to make another movie within 2 years, as long as J.J. Abrams is at the main helm.
