Meh. It was fine.
It didn't knock my socks off as a movie should, but it was still a story worth watching.

If it WAS a TNG episode, I would personally rank it "slightly above mediocre" compared to the rest of the body of work that was the TNG TV series (i.e., I would rank it in the top 50% of TNG TV episodes). However, being a feature film, "slightly above mediocre" is not good enough.

It didn't knock my cocks off as a movie should, but it was still a story worth watching. If it WAS a TNG episode, it would be ranked "slightly above mediocre" compared to the rest of the bidy of work that was the TNG TV series. However, being a feature film, "slightly above mediocre" is not good enough.

I'd rather watch a Code of Honor/Angel One double-feature than be subjected to Insurrection again.

To be fair, I'd pretty much have to flip a coin between Insurrection and Nemesis, since I'm not sure I've seen either of them more than once.

There's a Nemesis 2?? Good God.

I'm Trek's biggest fan (yes we all say that), and I still haven't seen Insurrection or Nemesis but for a few scenes.

And as usual, I have to point out that Nemesis has a lovely score.

I first saw The Voyage Home, The Final Frontier and Generations a couple of weeks ago thanks to Syfy's Trek movie marathon. I (believe it or not) regret not recording Nemesis. I could have gotten it out of the way.

I find The Final Frontier hugely enjoyable. It's the film that most feels like TOS.

Well... he did strike me as more grim early on, before Pike's speech. But once he was in the academy, I thought he seemed to be more blasé than anything else.

That's not a call that you get to make where the current and future direction of Star Trek is concerned. The people who own it were quite convinced by declining ratings and the bottom line.

Interesting. Is it just me or, despite our differences regarding the reboot, are all these lists pretty similar, with the same films clustered around the top and bottom--with the notable exceptions of TMP and 2009, which are all over the place?

Well, yeah, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who thinks TWOK isn't one of the best and/or Nemesis isn't one of the worst.
