The why not count the Simpsons for "Lisa's Wedding" and "Future-Drama"? If the criteria includes cartoons that have science fiction episodes, it'd be a lot easier to list the non-SF shows.

You have to admit, Family Guy is definitely set in a fantasy world of some kind.

Like the episode where the talking dog wasn't entirely sure if his new red headed girlfriend wanted to have sex with him.

Dude, the pollster managed to miss an assload of real candidates just to add shows like Family Guy to the frigging poll. It might as well have some reason to be on the list!

Oh, I know that stuff like the Star Wars episode is probably why. It's just if you're defining science fiction cartoon TV to be anything that occasionally has science fiction in it, that's too loose a definition to be that useful.

Where the smeg are Gatchaman, Samurai Jack, Real Ghostbusters, Ghost In The Shell, Bucky O Hare, Reboot, Roughnecks, the Captain Scarlet remake, Dungeons And Dragons, Valley Of The Dinosaurs (all right, that might be a very guilty pleasure) etc etc...?

^ D&D would technically be a Fantasy cartoon, not a Sci-Fi one.

I'm also not sure if you can classify The Real Ghostbusters as Sci-Fi, either.

Regarding the poll, people have already called out Archer, Rocko's Modern Life, and Family Guy as being out of place, but I'm personally wondering why the OP classified Batman TAS, Avengers EMH, Spectacular Spider-Man, Gargoyles, X-Men, Justice League, and Dragonball as Sci-Fi.

Super-cryogenics, plant monsters, and ressurection pits; aliens, starships, and superhumans; superhumans via genetic engineering and other methods; time travel, robot soliders/mecha; aliens, superhumans, and mutants; aliens, superhumans, other planets, etc.; and presumably many similar for Dragonball. And that's all just off the top of my head for each.

Superhero shows are pretty universally science fiction - Batman or other "street" level heroes maybe not, but even BTAS has Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Ra's Al Ghul.

My picks were Batman TAS (which I would argue is more of an action/adventure show rather than sci-fi), Star Trek TAS, and Futurama, because out of that list, those are the ones I've actually watched. I might have seen Flash Gordon (I was a little kid when it was new), but I don't remember that one.

I can't think of any that I'd say I was a fan of.

My son likes Transformers Prime which is certainly head and shoulders better than the other versions of Transformers he obsesses about, and if the proposed animated Trek show is as well done, I'd watch it.

The couple of episodes of the Captain Scarlet remake I saw were OK, and so is Futurama.
