And we also have "Threshold" which is a whole long contradiction. Paris breaks the threshold for warp speed, almost dies, turns into a lizard, abducts Janeway who is also turned into a lizard and they have lizard “children” and no one talks about it or jokes about it later! It's totally forgotten in later episodes.
I'm only going to say this once it never happened.

But it get worse, Tom was able to get back to Voyager whilst travelling at Warp 10, so in theory should have been able to get back to Earth. The EMH would be unaffected by travelling at Warp. So in theory they could have piloted Voyager home at Warp 10 and let Starfleet reverse the adverse effects.

Sorry I've just ended the show.

Also if they couldn't go warp 10, why not warp 9.999999? What exactly is the lizard threshold?

I think for the torpedoes it's reasonable to think they found a way to replace them later. But yeah, in general it feels like the writer of each episode had never watched the show before.

And the sad thing is, the ones that seem most like that are often the best episodes.

Another one I noticed, Blink of an Eye.

"We're not ready to join your time frame yet."

Why not, ten seconds later:

(Planet stops spinning fast) "We're ready now!"

In the pilot, they state they need 70 years to get back home. Then, after only 7 years, they are already home. I felt cheated.
I actually would have been shocked if they didn't get home in the finale.
I take it your mouth is still on the floor over Quantum Leap?

I totally agree. As I've stated on the Kes website under the link "Voyager's Mysteries-and how to solve them":

It never happened! It was just a nightmare Paris had after eating too much Leola Root stew or drinking too much of Neelix’s coffee.

How can you folks just wish away one of the most hilarious things that ever happened in Trek? The gift that keeps on giving.

Discussing inconsistencies and contradictions is fair game and has nothing to do with how much you may or may not like the show. Every show is going to have it's mistakes. That's what this is, a discussion forum. To discuss things.

I'd actually say your post is the most "hating" one on this thread.

Nonsense! We're having fun. I'm a Voyager fan, and enjoy pointing out the discontinuities.

Re: Favorite blatant contradictions

I'm a fan of Voyager and I started the thread.

Voyager tells a lot of really good stories, and has a lot of good characters. But it also, quite regularly, did a poor job on fact consistency. They didn't even keep an accurate count of how many crew members were dead.

I'm watching Collective right now, and Janeway explicitly said she'd been to the homeworlds of two of the children. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but didn't they come across every single one of the children's homeworlds afterward? So, were these childrens' homeworlds both behind and in front of them then?

Re: Favorite blatant contradictions

I assume they came across outposts of their people, either behind them or in front of them.

Either that or Janeway lies to children to gain their confidence.

Or she went out of her way, retracing the ships journey to take those tykes home just like she added months to the complete trip taking Neelix home when they thought that he was sick in Jetrel.

(It's not up to me to defend this psychopath, could you gushers please do your job so that we can maintain the established balance of power.)

Re: Favorite blatant contradictions

Boy you really got scared off when you almost said nice things about Admiral Janeway.

Rather than adding months she should have found some busy trade route and negotiated or paid someone going that way to take them home. After vetting them for suitability of course. It's bad enough stopping to take nebula readings every five seconds.
