Tribbles are walking mouths as well. They consumed all that poison grain like it was ice cream.

Do they poop?

Or is most of their waste products included in their babies like with humans?

Surely the Tribble that had a bomb in it was fake?

Arne Darvin, being a Klingon, could never get close enough to a living Tribble in order to try and put a bomb into it. (Klingons hate Tribbles as much as the reverse.) So I figure it would have to be a fake one. With convincing fur, no one would know the difference.

Cyrano Jones had a sideline of genuine tribble skins sewn around foam rubber. Darvin bought one and put the bomb in it.

Tribbles have a much more efficient metabolism than us lower life forms. They poop babies.

One word: TRANSPORTER. You beam it in to the tribble the way Jadzia beamed that alien conscience out of Dr. Bashir in the season one episode The Passenger. If you've EVER seen an opening on a tribble when they've shown them close up, I wish you'd screencap it for me with an arrow pointing to the opening.

Given that Trek has shown that powerful bombs can be very small (a few cubic millimeters), it would be easily enough to put one in a hypo and inject the tribble.
