Re: Dying Trek fan to get STID personal screening
My mother died of cancer about a month after Trek XI came out. She and my dad were big fans and they're wholly responsible for getting me into Trek in the first place. I'm not ashamed to say that I stole it off the internet a week after it came out since she really wanted to see it but was far too sick to go to the theatre. Watching that shitty camcorder copy of the movie was one of the last days I spent with my mom before she was too drug-addled to know where she was. And yes, she liked it. Good for these people for trying to make their friend/husband happy before he goes. Life's too short. |
