If you look at my first post you will see that I tried to correct the thread title soon after I posted but it only changed the title on the top of my first post.

I apologise for my mistake. As i said in my first post I have a hearing problem and find it difficult to hear the difference between between had and have and only when I read it did I realise I had made a mistake.

Well, I'd clearly never win at Wheel.

Of course she should have won.

Fixed it.

Re: Should she have won?

Wheel of fortune has always struck me as tad dodgy with it's rules and puzzles (not to mention gits as hosts both in the U.S and Australia) and they would have used this as reason not to pay up

At least Jeopardy gives contestants some leeway with answers unless it's big different (singular vs plural, Book of Revelation vs Revelations).

But that "G" was already right out there as clear as day. Whether she pronounced it or not is kind of ridiculous. It's obvious what she meant. What a rip off.

What does the word "swimmin" (without the G) mean?
Same thing as "swimming," but only when it's with bare naked women!

I've got two minor nitpicks:

Pronunce = should be ”pronounce”
Pronuncitation = should be ”pronunciation”

It did seem like a case where Pat should have given her chance to repeat the solution. Pat just wanted the pretty blonde girl to move on instead of the pinched-face heavier girl.

Maybe if she had flubbed the pronunciation, rather than just pronuncing it wrong.

Re: Should she have won?

She lost because she said 'seven swans ARE swimming'. There is no issue with how she said swimming, she said ARE (which did not fit) when it should have be A. She got caught out fair and square!

Uh, no. She said "A" not "are."

Well that's an odd way to pronounce 'A', pronouncing it 'ah' which is easily misheard into 'are'. She said 'ah-swimming' or 'are-swimming', been listening to that segment several times.

That's how a is pronounced in English spoken language. It's only called 'ay' (to rhyme with hay) as its name.
