Re: Should Neelix/Kes have stayed together?

Becuase the break up wasn't "on camera"... When Kes started flirting and then decided to run away with hat trucker in Darkling, my thoughts where "Oh poor Neelix, you're dating a skank."

Maybe I was accepting of the Neelix/Kes relationship because I was trying to find something to like about Neelix. He seemed to be strictly a comic relief character to me, but occasionally he got some meatier stuff to do.

Neelix should've been falling down on his knees and thanking whoever the Talaxians worship that he had a real live woman. Not openly and publicly partying with holo women.

Re: Should Neelix/Kes have stayed together?

I thought Kes could only have sex once in her life.

Which begs an interesting question. If Kes can only have children when she's in her sticky-hands phase, it follows that intimacy is only pleasurable to Ocampa in that phase. Yet, in Before & After Tom married her. So you have to think, did she fake it every single time except for that one time, which was probably not very enjoyable to Tom because he had to stay chemically stuck to her for four days?

This has interesting implications for Kes' self esteem.

And as an aside, even though I hated Neelix' jealous streak I think it was the most interesting thing about his character.

Re: Should Neelix/Kes have stayed together?

Warlord had lots of plans to have much sex with her little body.

She can only have one child.

They never said that her flower only opened one in her life.

Am I the only person who is totally icked out by the idea of sex and Kes?? Why do people think she is sexy? She's like a sweeter than thou kitten.

Not. Sexy.

The Kitten and the Night of the Living Hormones. Neither one works as sexy.

Come to think of it...

If an Ocampa can only have one baby, why doesn't the population of Ocampa cut in half every five years?

That's not counting how many babies are lost when they fall out of that back thing and hit the ground head first if no one is there to catch it.

I certainly could not have had sex with either of them!
And Paris, well... he would have had sex with the bulkhead if it had eyelashes.

Didn't he basically do that in Alice?

It's very possible it was.
Living underground wasn't their natural habitat.
Due to that, they had already lost their survival skills and mental powers. It could have been why there was a movement among Ocampian youth to want to leave.

Got sex?
So do male Ocampians grow hair on their palms?

Multiple births, twins or triplets, and a higher female to male ratio, which would suggest polygamy.

Or

This is the debt that can never be repaid.

Or

Genocide. Every generation is shrinking by half, because of something caretaker did, so that one day in the future he could fuck off after the Ocampa as a species had had a "good" run.
