Royal Mail release Who stamps for 50th.

Pretty much says what it does on the tin, or in this case, the thread title. The Royal Mail in honour of Doctor Who's fiftieth anniversary are releasing eleven new stamps to mark this land mark event. I find the whole stamp collecting thing, a bit of a strange concept, but I think I might get a sheet of these as they are pretty cool.

best one is the 3rd Doctor, however I never send letters anymore, so not sure when I would buy them, never mind use them.

You could send everyone a blue envelope with instructions to meet them in Utah

Interesting that for four of the six Doctors where it was an option, they've used a "Doctor's face" frame from the title sequence, but for Pertwee and Colin they've mocked one up (as, obviously, they have for Hartnell and McGann onwards).

In a nice sign of the show's popularity, this even got a US news mention...

Those stamps look pretty neat. How much will the set cost and how can one get from abroad?

Try eBay, you can get most things there.

Hopefully they will do signed First Day covers like they did with the Dalek stamp released years ago.
They had the first seven Doctors on one with replica autos for the three dead ones and genuine autos for the four living.
They also did seven companions auto stamp cover, Susan, Zoe, Liz, Sarah, Nyssa, Peri and Ace.

I noticed every logo is different except for 9 and 10, to bad RTD did not have something different for 10.

For people outside the UK, I believe the Royal Mail do sell sets of stamps to overseas buyers:

http://www.royalmail.com/doctorwho

http://shop.royalmail.com/delivery-c.../deliveryinfo/

For a small item delivered outside the UK, BFPO, and Europe, the delivery charge is £2.15.

The prize draw for registering interest is UK only.

Well the logo matches the logo used during each Doctors run at least part of it.
