Miranda Hart is a (very) tall and (sorta) well-known standup comedienne and actress, known for playing exactly the character you saw in the video above. Nerds know her as the female lead against Nick Frost in the mediocre show "Hyperspace" from a few years back. I know her as a guest star on BBC Radio's "The 99p Challenge".
