Dunno about that, sets are supposed to be dismantle-able... they did it with the previous one at least once. I'm surprised they managed to keep this a secret, a console room change is almost like a new companion, really!
Unfortunately, the season 5-7 console room set wasn't made to be dismantled. They had welded it into the soundstage beams, probably for stability reasons. Oddly, I think it would have been easier to move the 9/10 console room (assuming they didn't finally strike it after "The Doctor's Wife").

One interesting possibility next year is that there could be a Hartnell console room standing set, thanks to the Gatiss drama about the creation of Doctor Who. Its construction would come out of that film's development, but it would be available for Doctor Who to use.

And it was purpose built in the soundstage that housed the Torchwood Hub.

It didn't occur to me at the time, but on hindsight the area seemed smaller than the hub looked on TV!

Some Tardis concept Art here.

I hope they do something that looks less like a toddlers playboard.

Perhaps the TARDIS is reflecting the Doctor's mood & mindset.

Also, why are Vastra's hands white?
The leading theories are plot point and production error.

Neve McIntosh is usually wearing gloves so they don't bother making up her hands. And that particular photo was a publicity shot rather than a still from the actual episode.

Can easily be explained away as her wearing synthetic "human gloves" under her regular ones. Helps her blend in with the locals - and would presumably make nights with Jenny a bit easier.

It's called a "standing set" for a reason - the need to be dismantled and stowed isn't really something they consider (unlike swing sets).

The room, probably. I doubt the console would have survived the trip; wasn't it basically falling apart?

The 9/10 Control Room is at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. It was in pretty good condition when I visited

Practical reasons aside...I would rather have them save the money and make a few more episodes a season instead of building a new tardis set every few years.

I'm sure there are other roadblocks to making more episodes than the money spent on the TARDIS.
