Cogenitor (ENT)

I was quite entertained by the reactions of my husband. He was playing a video game, then he paused the game long enough to call Trip "Idiot!" every time he was on screen...then he turned the game off and paid full attention to the episode.

Hopefully this will be a turning point for him with this series!

These are the Voyages. At the end of my complete Star Trek watch-through that ended last year (took roughly a year in total).

"The Trouble with Tribbles", remastered edition (which cut out Chekov's claim that Ivan Berkoff, as opposed to John Burke, discovered Sherman's Planet ).

Currently struggling through the Abrams film again. Never saw it until buying earlier this year. Still can't get through it in one sitting.

You have to think of it as a generic sci-fi romp.

I'm pretty lukewarm on the film. Some things work (I thought the casting was good for the most part, the directing), other things didn't (Spock/Uhura, Nero's motivation, some massive plot holes, the totality of the Starfleet Academy scenes).

I've seen it several times over the last three years, but its been about a year since I watched it all the way through. I doubt I'll revisit it again until just before Star Trek Into Darkness.

Some of the comic relief is poorly placed. Such as, Kirk's balloon hands after McCoy's repeated injections, while Kirk is trying to get important information to the bridge.

The tit-grab definitely rubs me the wrong way. Not that I normally mind a good tit-grab, but it seems more appropriate in Porky's or Police Academy.
