Who knows, though? Cassel's Dad died and the very next day he dropped four touchdowns and 49 points on the Raiders.
In any event, Smith will hit the market. There's no way the team pays a $7.5 million roster bonus to a backup quarterback.

At least they beat Denver, we'll see against Houston. My feeling is they will win 1 of 2 against Houston and SF and mop up the remaining cupcakes on the schedule. Kinda sucks that 12-4 will probably only buy you a home game in wild card week. |
