While I suspect he may have a vague recollection of who they were and a general sense of who they were with and what it was like to be them, I think he would have forgotten anything specific. (At the very least, that's how I explain the 5th Doctor not knowing that Borusa is the traitor despite having experienced this 3 times before.)

And the Doctor does imply that his memories are being altered during this instance. He says to Tegan & Turlough during his "twinge of cosmic angst," "A person is the sum of his memories; a Time Lord even moreso."

Plus, the 5th Doctor would of course know the Master because of his recent encounters with him in "Castrovalva," "Time-Flight," & "The King's Demons." Plus, going by my theory, the 5th Doctor would still retain clear memories of everything that happened to the 4th Doctor after the 4th Doctor was removed from the time stream (around the events of "Shada"). So while he would struggle to remember anything pre-"Shada," he would clearly remember the 4th Doctor's encounters with the Master in "The Keeper of Traaken" & "Logopolis."

He didn't experience this 3 times before. Each Doctor was pulled out of time so this adventure was new to all of them.

Sean Pertwee, has already made it very clear that he's against playing the Third Doctor. He wouldn't mind guest starring on the show and he isn't opposed to someday being a future Doctor, but he doesn't want to be on the show impersonating his dad.

Although Hurndall wasn't bad, I am generally against recasting the dead Doctors. The point of these specials is to see the actor themselves again, not someone else pretending to be them.

That being said, I do have to admit there are a few ways they can work the First Doctor into this that I'd accept. They could feature the First Doctor in his younger days or they could take the actor who'll play Hartnell in that dramatization of the show's early years that Mark Gatiss is doing and have him play the First Doctor in the anniversary special.

Unfortunately, going down this path pretty much requires them to recast the Second and Third Doctors.

This whole discussion makes me wonder why we demand reunion specials of Doctor Who and not other franchises. How come no one's pushing for Star Trek to do "The Six Captains" come 2016?

Because what other franchise has done reunion specials along the lines of "The Three Doctors," "The Five Doctors," and "Dimensions in Time"? So I guess it's all Barry Letts' fault.

Though as Barry said, it wasn't so much a question of deciding to do a story with all three, more that for years he'd been telling everyone who kept suggesting it "Maybe for an anniversary" as a way of saying no, and then the anniversary arrived.

Well, I did suggest a while ago that there was a market for a TV miniseries set after the end of DS9 and Voyager, featuring some cast from the various 24th Century shows dealing with an issue that had previously cropped up in Enterprise and TOS Movie eras featuring flashback cameo's.

Well I think demand is too strong a word for it, but as has been noted before they have done it for previous anniversaries. Also given the time travel nature of the show it is easier to get them together rather than for ST where they might have to use the time travel element once again to get them together.

Star Trek has done it's own special epsiodes to mark anniversaries such as the 30th Anniversary "Trials and Tribble-ations" and "Flashback", also didn't "Unification" air in the 25th Annivesary year?

Because "The Six Captains" wouldn't work without getting into some wacky time travel. It's far more natural for The Doctor to team up with his previous selves given the nature of the series. Although, it would have been nice to see Picard, Sisko, and/or Janeway team up for a two-parter at some point.

Still, given that one of the captains exists in a completely different timeline than the other five, one has to wonder how does Pine Kirk join in the fun, and why didn't he bring Nimoy Spock, who might enjoy the opportunity to go home.

There was already one episode of TNG that had 1000's of Enterprises from different realities if I remember right. It's not like these specials usually are 100% coherent in their logic.
