Helena Wayne was robin on earth II to her father Batman. Changed her costume persona after accidentally ans irrevocably sliding to Earth 1.

The TV show is using the post crisis revision of the character from the 80s which is spot on with the TV show except that she was also a teacher and a little more well adjusted.

I know the current situation, but I am referring specifically to how the character is drawn.

Ben Browder is set to appear in the 11th episode “Trust But Verify” as Ted Gaynor, a character from the comics.

I don't know. They're very much alike.

I think the way Oliver sees it is that -

Huntress is going after the people who killed her fiancé, so it's purely about revenge while Oliver is going against his father's associates who have harmed the city. So I suppose he sees himself as pursuing a selfless goal.

Yes, but the conversation was specifically about Huntress. And I don't see hoards of teenage girls drooling over Superman's lovingly drawn pecks when I am in the comic shop.

With the development of a new Wonder Woman series called "Amazon", there is some talk of a crossover. Here's what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says...

Our show definitely takes place in a much more realistic world. There’s no superpowers, superheroes and aliens. With Wonder Woman, Diana of Themyscira, there are superpowers. I don’t foresee crossovers but one of the great things about superheroes is that they’re constantly being reimagined. There’s the Adam West and Christopher Nolan versions of Batman and one doesn’t obviate the other. The Lynda Carter version was great and now the CW is hopefully developing another wonderful version that will be a nice compliment to Arrow.

As long as she doesn’t have superpowers, then we’re good!

I hope the Amazon show doesn't depower Wonder Woman. A crossover would be nice, but I would rather have a Wonder Woman with superpowers and mythological allies and foes than go for the Arrow 'realism'. Without the magic, what's the point of doing a Wonder Woman show? CW already has Nikita. I don't see how a powerless Wonder Woman show is going to be that much different, or find someone as good with action as Maggie Q is.

They could base it on the Wonder Woman stories of the seventies.

From what little I've heard about that, the powerless Wonder Woman wasn't well received. I know that Cathy Lee Crosby played that kind of Wonder Woman in a TV pilot, but it was the more traditional Lynda Carter Wonder Woman show that got produced.

I don't see how that powerless Wonder Woman would be much different than Nikita. Also, with Arrow taking a lot of the 'realistic' villains out there, by the time Wonder Woman got a show, a lot of them already would be used, or misused, by Arrow.

There's a lot of superpowered villains just sitting around, not being used at all. And there are bigger storylines that a superpowered Wonder Woman can do as opposed to a powerless one.
