My sympathies. I've buried seven cats and a dog, and I still miss every one. Here are some of my Rainbow Bridge cats. A little while after we lost Mitsi (no cats for 6 weeks - forever!), we went to the shelter and asked to see the cats with the least chance of being adopted. We brought home four.

And we have the dog too -- also a rescue.

Maybe you could get a dog, if you make sure Jinx has safe places to retreat to that are dog-free during the period of adjustment. That's how we did it. Two of the cats are buddies with him now.

I'd have to start with a puppy. There's only one dog she's not afraid of and that is my brother's Yorkie. Jinx is twice Gepetto's size.

I would love to adopt a hard-to-place rescue cat and/or dog but I can't afford the colonoscopy.

Probably. I am missing Miss Lemon's and Skywalker's feet. Wait, that didn't come out right.

Oh, and here are the #s of entries I have
9 entries for the ep
9 entries for the theme
7 entries for the random theme

So, how many votes should I allow? And should it be a different # for the feet? Is there a special secret formula? If there is, please say there's lanolin in it.

Wish I could help with the number of votes. can't recall how many are allowed for x number of entries. Maybe our honorable mod will pop in today and help out.

Meanwhile you might want to put together a recap. Makes setting up the poll easier.

Maybe give Skywalker and Miss Lemon the rest of the day, along with anyone else who might drop a last minute entry, then post the voting thread tomorrow. I'd say give two votes. Three always feels too cluttered in my personal opinion, but it's just that. Your vote thread after all.

And we usually do three votes for contests with a minimum of nine entries.
