Yes.

Another simple trailer which they could run in front of one of Disney's movies in 2013.

No Daniel Craig's Bond is a full Reboot! That one is really obvious. See this proves my point!
Soft reboot. The movies are based in the idea that Bond is a code name and new people take the name. The previous Bond movies were about his predecessors.
No. That has never been the truth. Or for some reason Roger Moore's Bond was mourning the death of George Lazenby's Bond's wife. And Timothy Dalton's Bond hadn't gotten over the death of the same woman, whom he never met.

All of the actors have been playing the same character.

Your theory is a fan theory.

But, you are right, Casino Royale was a soft reboot.

Now, I haven't seen Skyfall yet--don't know if that contradicts my theory.
As someone else said. It does.

So many crazy fan theories related to Bond. Clearly the truth is that Bond (and Felix Leiter) is a Time Lord. It all makes sense.

Casino Royale is the first incarnation of Bond, and, at some point in the future (perhaps after fighting in the Time War?), he travels back in time and regenerates into Sean Connery.

Obviously Bond would be in the Dalton incarnation during the Time War.

It is a completely useless endeavor to try and make sense of Bond continuity.

You just have to go with it.

I've actually proposed that idea a couple of times (although I forgot about Felix). It will never happen, but it would make a nice "Wold Newton" kind of thing.

All British heroes are Time Lords: the Doctor, James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, etc.

Can't wait to see it; just haven't had the time yet.

One thing that I would love the franchise to do, though, is an actual hard reboot. Set a new series up as period pieces, set in the fifties and sixties like the novels.

exclusive Netflix deal

a new multi-year licensing agreement that will make Netflix the exclusive U.S. subscription television service for first-run live-action and animated feature films from The Walt Disney Studios.
Beginning with its 2016 theatrically released feature films, new Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios and Disneynature titles will be made available for Netflix members to watch instantly in the pay TV window on multiple platforms, including television, tablets, computers and mobile phones.
No Lucasfilm mention... Hmm.
With Star Wars Episode 7 released the year before. While the first new film will get a traditional release and Blu-ray/streaming/Pay TV it's episode 8 that may get this treatment.
