Re: Brought to you by the letter "p" for "pedophilia"?

Has it? I read a study once that said [IIRC] 'Sesame Street,' with it quickly edited chaotic style, actually interfered with learning and created generatioins of kids who couldnt concentrate. IIRC, the study also said shows like 'Mr Rogers' were actually better for developing minds.

I grew up on Sesame street in the 70s and I have no problem concentrating.

My mother let me watch Mr. Rogers but kept me off the Street for that very reason. Overprotection? Maybe, but I can't fault her reasoning.

We didn't watch any US imports. Our idea of a treat was watching a beardy hippy with big specs standing in front of a diagram on Open University.

I don't have any issues with concentration and neither do my kids and we've all watched Sesame Street.

Penn State Takes Down A Photo Of Elmo Being Given A PSU T-Shirt: Penn State University appeared to make private a photo on their Flickr feed Tuesday of Elmo receiving a Penn State T-shirt during a visit to the university in March.

Those guys at Penn State can't catch a break...

Just because the accuser took back the accusation doesn't mean it wasn't a true accusation. It just means he decided to take it back for whatever reason. I mean, if there was nothing questionable going on, there'd be nothing to validate the original accusation to begin with. He didn't say "No, he wasn't fiddling me when I was 16." He's saying "Yes, he was fiddling me when I was 16, but I was okay with it."

So I guess the moral of the story is: As long as you get them to say its okay (and hope they don't decide to lie about it later), you can fuck 16 year olds to your heart's content.
Or MAYBE, just MAYBE he didn't fuck a 16 year old. Because MAYBE it wasn't true, and the guy would be in a shit ton of trouble if it could be PROVED his accusation was a lie.

But, no, it can't be that. We couldn't possibly live in a world where people are innocent. It's just easier to think the worst of people.

Here's an idea. Why don't we just ask the second guy suing Clash over the same charge what he thinks?

That was kind of my point. I was the poster in the first quote. That was kind of a sardonic .

Surely that should be "I grew up on Sesame street in the 70s and I have no problem... uh... What was I saying?"

Wasn't the second guy 15 when he had his sexual encounter with Elmo, and came foward because of the first guy who came forward?

I was considering going that route, but in the end I decided that...
