Star Trek Animated Web Series dead?

Has CBS pulled the plug on the Star Trek Animated web series set in the 26th century? Or is the series still in development? I have only heard of this project on Trekmovie at the following URL: http://trekmovie.com/2006/12/13/cbs-...ries/#more-358

I thought that the proposed series sounded great. I love the idea of re-building the UFP---there's a great potential there for both gritty drama and a sense of optimism.

Meh. The art was a little derivative - like Trek meets Batman Beyond, and the plot was, well, silly. I guess if it was just a web series it might have been interesting.

This show "Star Trek: Final Frontier" never made it past the development stage, but in the past the creators have shared images and details on the web. And now they are revealing the scripts they wrote as well.

Mirabello has now contacted TrekMovie to make sure we let fans know they have started to post scripts to the web. Two of them are now available at www.startrekff.com.
