Damn, Jenna takes perkiness to a whole new level.

So the Doctor has 'retired'... because of Amy and Rory's departure?

Geez, did he go and read Twilight or something?

Jenna looks really uncomfortable with those links. At least Matt throws himself into the role really well (despite obviously reading his lines to start with). Jenna just seems to be not willing to embrace the geek-magnet she'll become just yet.

"I've declared war on the moon!"

I have to say seeing a Sontaran in a tuxedo is the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I love The Eleventh Doctor's rumpled top hat. Reminds me of The Second Doctor's old stovepipe hat.

I noticed that too. The light is shining at an angle that brightens her face. The bright light diminishes all the detailing

Also noticed they didn't do makeup on her lower lip
Ah...yes, that's it, thanks. The lack of lip color, gives an optical illusion of her lower face looking kinda "sucked in", like she ate a lemon

I think they'll be playing her as a "Oh I'm not impressed at the Diamond Planet with oil in the sky"

The straight man to Matt Smith's doctor.

I loved the way she delivered this.

Matt and Jenna are great, but that is the problem, Matt is more interesting than his Doctor.

As for the mini episode, there is nothing I hate more than when a previous heroic character goes "dark" and spends a few episodes (or season) not saving people, they may claim its for a bigger reason, but its boring.

Jenna Louis-Coleman might be the most attractive companion I've seen since I started watching. I can't wait to see her in the role starting this Christmas. I already love her personality and perkiness out of character. She might become my favorite companion yet.

Aye. I suppose we can just say she started to wear lipstick at some point. I imagine it is because she has a lot more to say this time around and constantly touching up her lips between nearly every take for a week or more of filming would have just been annoying. (I know, I've done it before)

Rubbish title.

Trailer looked great - until the eponymous snowmen appeared and undid all that good work...

Have you been watching the show since the reboot? I'd be disappointed if snowmen didn't appear at some point.

I have, and what I mean is they look utterly crap - that's what undid the rest of the trailer's good work...

Eh, the CGI looks about part for the course. Doctor Who has never wowed me with its cgi. In that video, it's so brief that it's hard to get a good look.

Frankly, I find the shortcomings of the Snowmen to be part of their charm. C'mon, we're dealing with an alien flying around the cosmos in a police box that's bigger on the inside, and you're complaining about snowmen?! It's all part of the fun of Doctor Who.
