Children in Need 2012: Christmas Special prequel + trailer

This year's Doctor Who contributions to Children in Need has been announced, and it's all about the Christmas Special. We're getting both a prequel to the episode and an exclusive trailer.

For those in the UK, you can see both when Children in Need airs this Friday the 16th on BBC One. They will be online
soon after.

Nice. Looks like the Doc is channeling a bit of Ebeneezer there.

I've missed these CiN mini-sodes in recent years, so this is welcome news.

Well, the incidental music in the minisode was interesting. Pretty sure it's some of the Bartok used in The Web of Fear - which could mean that they just used a suitably creepy stock track because Murray Gold was busy, or...

Does something look different about Vastra? Or is it just the hood making her seem to look different?

I noticed that too. The light is shining at an angle that brightens her face. The bright light diminishes all the detailing

Also noticed they didn't do makeup on her lower lip
